Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jamie and his siblings came in from a local neighborhood yard. They were old enough to almost end up too wild to tame but we got to them just in time. Still a little apprehensive the family is slowly adjusting to indoor life. A little time and patience will be all they need in any new environment. Born on October 1, 2025, Jamie is a solid black boy with a beautiful long haired coat. But looks aren’t everything. Jamie is a tough nut to crack. He likes his independence but also “thinks” he enjoys your pets. He definitely needs his space but will come around slowly. Please give him time to adjust in his new home and another cat would be wonderful for him.
Jamie is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting this pet, you can start the process and access our pre-adoption application which is located on our website at www.startpets.net, click on Pets for Adoption then application; complete the form, and submit/send. We can also be reached at 973-785-1245 or email us at info@startpets.net. All Pets are adopted within a 50 mile radius of Little Falls, NJ. Please remember out of state adoptions require additional time for approval; you must be 21 years or older to adopt; an application does not guarantee an adoption; not all animals on our website come to all adoption days.

More about this rescue
Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens & cats. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
