Meet Keiko! Keiko is 5 years old and a big bundle of love, energy, and playfulness.
Keiko was adopted as a kitten and lived in a loving home with a cat sibling. Unfortunately, her adopters became homeless and had to move and Keiko's life as she knew it became different. At first, she was put into a cage at a local vets office, then returned to her original rescue to a foster home with what seemed like a gazilion other cats she didn't know. The smells, food, and people were all new, and she would give her caretaker small hisses to announce her displeasure. As she became accustomed to this change, we started to see her sweet, playful side. Chirping at her toys, enjoying catnip pawties, and finding that sometimes, life changes are ok, and with the help of her foster, she has adjusted well. We've taken time to get to know Keiko, and we know she would do well in a home, with an adopter willing to let her adjust to another newness. Someone who works from home would be ideal, but she doesn't mind alone time either. She was previously in a home with another cat, so we get the sense that given time, she would adjust to someone to nap with or attend catnip pawties with.
If you are looking for love in all the right places, are patient, kind, and are looking for someone to sit next to you while you read or watch TV, you just might have found your girl!
Keiko is spayed, tested negative for FIV/Felv, and is up to date on her vaccinations.

Once the adoption application is received, a home visit will be set up. If that goes well and is approved, then a vet check is completed (if the applicant has recently owned an animal, if not, two professional references will be required). Once both of those are approved, then the adoption fee will need to be paid.
