My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: Owner/Guardian Surrender/Owner Surrender to Espanola Humane in Santa Fe New Mexico. Came to CPR with the name "Ryder", neutered and UTD on vaccines. Appears to have hyperkeratosis of carpal pads bilaterally - not currently a medical concern, may consider treatment if it becomes uncomfortable/cracked. Unattached left rear dew claw - not currently causing issues.

From the foster: Fable is a beautiful cream-colored pup with a curly tail who’s ready to find his forever home. He’s smart and treat-motivated, making it easy to fine-tune his puppy manners. Fable warms up to people quickly and prefers slow, calm introductions with other dogs. He would do well in a home with or without a canine companion. He enjoys some activity, then happily settles down to relax with a toy. Fable adjusts to his crate within minutes and sleeps quietly through the night. He’s been fostered with a cat—whom he politely greeted and then left alone. Overall, Fable has a calm, gentle demeanor that makes him an easy pup to love.

From the previous shelter: Ryder is a 1 year and 10 month old Husky mix with the softest fur, the sweetest eyes, and a heart that just wants to love and be loved. This handsome boy is still learning that the world is a safe place—he can be a little nervous in new environments or with new people—but once he realizes you're kind, he blossoms like a puppy discovering friendship for the first time.

Ryder adores gentle pets and will happily trot over for more affection once he feels comfortable. His sweet, sensitive nature makes every breakthrough with him extra special. With patience, love, and a calm home, Ryder will reward you with loyalty, cuddles, and that trademark Husky charm.

If you're looking for a soft-hearted companion who just needs a little time to shine, Ryder might be your perfect match. He can’t wait to meet his forever family!

More about this rescue

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
