This extra-cute, 6-year-old, 15-pound gentleman has had quite a journey, but he’s ready for the next chapter, one full of love, comfort, and plenty of cuddles. Banza originally came to us after being found as a stray, and while we don’t know the details of his past, it’s clear he’s a survivor.
Banza has a few unique quirks: his back legs are a little stiff, and his back right paw knuckles under. He’s had an old FHO surgery, a right-sided ilial wing fracture repair, and a left pubic fracture that didn’t fully fuse. He also has some T-L spondylosis. But here’s the amazing part: none of it slows him down! He walks, runs, and plays comfortably and with a happy little bounce in his step. In the future, he may benefit from occasional pain management, but for now he’s living his best life without any discomfort.
Banza also has an atrophied eye, but he navigates the world like a pro and it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He’s curious, confident, and has a heart of gold. He’s incredibly people-oriented and will happily follow his favorite humans around like a devoted shadow. If you sit down, he’ll happily plop into your lap for cuddles and never miss a chance for a gentle snuggle.
This little guy has a mellow, easygoing personality. He loves quiet time, lounging in comfort, and gentle companionship, though he gets along well with other dogs too. He’s not a high-energy whirlwind, he’s more the type to chill with you, share a cozy blanket, and offer endless love in return.
Banza has been through a lot, but he’s resilient, affectionate, and ready to thrive in a home that appreciates his calm, loving nature. He’s a little dog with a huge heart, and we know that the family who adopts him will feel lucky every single day. Banza is waiting to be your lap buddy, shadow, and cuddle companion! Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
