Zoom! Whoosh! Blink and you might miss him — it’s Apollo, the four-legged superhero with speed powers and zero off-switch. He came in as a stray on 12/26/25, and we think he’s about a year old. One look at this handsome guy and you’ll notice his super-cool eyes: one bright blue, and the other a striking mix of blue and brown. Clearly, superhero genetics at work.
Apollo is a certified wild child in the best way possible. He’s always on the go, always ready for action, and powered entirely by enthusiasm, squeaky toys, and love for people. When he’s not racing around like he’s saving the city, he’s soaking up attention and showing just how sweet and friendly he is.
If you’re looking for a fun, energetic sidekick who will keep life exciting and never let boredom win, Apollo is your guy. 🦸♂️💨

All adoptions are $199.00. Adoptions include the following: Vaccines, microchip, Current dog license, spay/neuter, de-worming medication.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
