Sweet little Avera is a 5-year-old, 16-pound bundle of love with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. She came to us from Cherokee alongside several other small dogs and puppies, and she’s been blossoming more each day in her foster home.
Avera is learning the ropes of being a house dog, and is doing wonderfully! She appears to be house-trained, sleeps quietly in her crate through the night, and is starting to build confidence when greeting visitors. Her very favorite thing? Snuggling up close with her people — she’s a professional cuddle bug and would happily claim a permanent spot in your lap.
Leash walking isn’t quite her strength yet, so a home with a fenced yard where she can safely explore would be ideal. With lots of patience and love, Avera would make someone an incredibly devoted, pint-sized best friend! She does need another dog in her adoptive home to show her confidence and help her bloom.
Avera is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Her adoption fee is $250 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
