Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!**
12-27-25: "Hello everyone! I'm glad you stopped on me, the cutest Lemon Beagle gal around! I am the the total package, and let me tell you my story! Not long ago, I had a home, was it the best one, probably not, as I was a just a puppy maker for them! At my young estimated age of 3 years, I had a number of litters, then when they were done with me, abandoned me along with my male pal. We were left to fend for ourselves till local Animal Control got us, and took us in, keeping both of us safe. Now I am about 20 pounds, am spayed, micro chipped, had my vaccines and am heartworm negative. I did have my cherry eye repaired while I was having my spay, and it is healing well. My Foster Mom was asked to take me in, and she didn't hesitate one minute to say yes, so I got to spend my Christmas in a warm, loving home! She says that I am the sweetest girl and I crave your attention, as well as having my ears scratched--I absolutely love that! My manners are that of the most devine lady, and my crate is always dry. I am great with other dogs, but cats and children are unknown. My male pal was put up for adoption at the shelter, but since I also needed a dental, the rescue pulled me. I had my pre dental exam today with some bloodwork, and my dental is scheduled for January 19, 2026! I can be met now and pre adopted, but I can not leave till the dental has been done"
"Do I sound like the best Beagle whom you would love to meet? Just email my Mom at citizens4animals@yahoo.com, and she will send you an application right out, or answer any questions you may have about me! Please DO NOT call the number on here, email, as emails are constantly monitored!! My adoption fee is $250.00, and that covers all my vetting!! Since I am a Beagle, I always have my nose to the ground, so I will need a secure fenced yard please!"
"Till we meet"
Love,
HEIDI

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an application for adoption which is sent to them as soon as an inquiry is received. The application is reviewed, and the applicant's vet reference is checked by phone. If the applicant does not have a good vet record, the application is denied. If the applicant is renting a home, we ask for his landlord's name and phone # and check to make certain the applicant is allowed to have a pet. If there are any concerns regarding the application, we bring them to the applicant's attention and ask for clarification. This is done before the applicant meets the pet. We then set up a meeting at a mutually convenient time and place. If the applicant wants the pet, we ask for a check made payable to CFAW at the time the applicant takes the pet. The adoption donation is held for 3-5 days during which the potential adopter can decide whether (or not) he wants to permanently adopt the pet. If he decides not to adopt and returns the pet to us, his check is returned at that time. There is also a Pet Adoption Contract which basically states that the adopter will take good care of the pet. This is signed by both parties.
