My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Honey Your Future Shadow and Snuggle Buddy
Honey is a young girl who’s making up for lost time. She came from a tough outdoor situation with 5 puppies. She had to put up emotional walls just to get by, but in her foster home she’s learning that life can be soft, safe, and full of love.
Her foster dad calls her a total Velcro pup she bonds quickly and loves being close to her people. With patience, toys, structure, and attention, she’s well on her way to growing into a confident, happy adult dog.
Honey is still learning that new people aren’t scary, and she’s making great progress every day. She’s also doing wonderfully with the resident cats and even the chickens in her foster home.
Honey would thrive with:
- Someone home often to continue her training and confidence‑building
- Lots of toys, enrichment, and gentle guidance
- A family who understands she’s still learning the world is safe
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly, Honey is ready to stick by your side and blossom.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
