Meet Scrooge!

Scrooge is a very handsome classic German Shepherd, approximately 12 years old and weighing 71 pounds. Scrooge was surrendered by his owner due to financial hardship and is now looking for his furever home.

Scrooge has a very sweet temperament and is still very much a puppy at heart. As a strong, young boy, he will benefit from continued training and structure to help him reach his full potential. With guidance, exercise, and love, Scrooge will make an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.

Hes looking for a home that understands large breeds that is ready to help a playful, affectionate shepherd grow into the amazing dog hes meant to be.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.

We are a private, nonprofit, all breed, no-kill dog rescue.
