Duffy #18928: black & white bicolor, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 2/9/23
Cats: okay w/intro & good solo Dogs: fine with small dogs Children: late elementary+
BACKGROUND: Duffy came from a home where he was not being well cared for; a concerned friend helped connect him with The Rescue House and he was able to move into foster care. He regained his health and has flourished! Now Duffy is looking for a more stable home where he can show off his fabulously loving self and bond with his new people.
PERSONALITY: Duffy likes to be with his humans. He is a social kitty who is happiest when you are paying attention to him and hanging out together. He’ll jump into your lap to get pets and will also adorably stretch up to your shoulder to drape himself there and give you a “hug”. As a young kitty, Duffy definitely likes to play, so break out the dangly toys! (Though oddly, he’s not interested in a laser pointer.) He will vigorously use his beloved cardboard scratcher and sometimes whack at a trackball. Duffy is such a good boy and a wonderful companion.
COMPATIBILITY: Duffy needs a slow and proper introduction to any new adult cats; he has been quicker to adjust to kittens. He has fostered with a small senior Chihuahua and was fine with her around. We think he’d do well with children ten or so who are old enough to understand that if Duffy gives them a firm love bite it’s because he is so happy to be getting attention, not that he’s being mean or aggressive in any way. A simple “no bite!” and he’ll let go.
Duffy is a darling! Will his sweet and silly nature enrich your life?
