Remy's Story
PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing or "inquiring" is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog.
Remy is 8 years old and is a very friendly guy looking for a loving home. Remy greets everyone with a wagging tail and is always eager to make new friends whether they are people or dogs, making him a wonderful addition to any family. Remy absolutely loves going for walks and would thrive as a hiking partner or daily exercise buddy. While he is enthusiastic on leash and can pull a bit, with some guidance and training, Remy will quickly become a great walking companion. He is housetrained and currently enjoys the independence of a dog door, giving him easy access to the yard. A fenced yard would be ideal, as Remy loves to explore and sniff around off leash. He's happiest when he has room to roam safely. Remy is food motivated and enjoys treats, chewies, and veggies, making reward-based training a breeze.
Adoption Fee is $450. All of our dogs will be microchipped.
We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check or cash is preferred payment.

Upon adoption, contract is required, additional contract for puppies under 6 months not yet spayed (with deposit-proof of spay and neuter is tracked) and fee is $450 for over 6 months (already altered) or $475 for puppies.

Almost Home Dog Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill, foster-based, all volunteer rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilating dogs at risk and in danger of an untimely death. We bring dogs to us from rural areas where there is a large stray population, spays are infrequently done and pounds and shelters are high kill when they fill up. Adoption rates are high in our area.
