Calypso was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society in Escondido by her owner. She is 13 years old and weighs 12 lbs. Calypso was understandably stressed in a shelter environment, and we are thankful that while she waits for her forever family, she is living in a calm foster home where she can decompress.
After their first week together, Calypso's foster mom shared this positive report:
"Calypso is a sweet, confident, and curious cat. She loves the heating pad, uses the litter box just fine, and likes cat tv! She’s also chatty and will let you know when she likes or dislikes something. She likes brushes and getting attention, and is already claiming her spot on the bed. She also isn’t a jumper. She can get on the couch and bed, but she doesn’t get up on tables or counters unless there’s an in between step (and again, she’s curious, so she’ll check!).
Interestingly, Calypso isn’t super food motivated. So far, she likes Temptations treats. We think whoever adopts Calypso will be incredibly lucky to have her."
