Amber was brought in by their previous owner on 1/6/2026.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Amber is a sweet cat who may take some time to trust and adjust to new people and environments. She does best with a patient adopter who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. Once she feels comfortable, Amber enjoys playing with her toys and showing her playful side. Amber came into our care with her buddy Ginger (AID 978291). With time, understanding, and a calm home, Amber has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

At SDHS:
Amber has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Amber is now ready for her new home!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
