My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucky

Intake & History
Lucky was surrendered after a welfare check when his owner was no longer able to care for him and could not find a home. He was transported to Memphis Animal Services, where he received vaccines and dewormer. Despite being friendly and well-mannered, Lucky was later placed on the euthanasia list due to shelter capacity and the ongoing community intake crisis.

Personality
Lucky loves kids and is friendly with all people. He’s entered his “teenage boy” phase — playful, curious, and full of personality. He loves his toys and bones and prefers to keep them as his own. Above all, Lucky is starving for affection and thrives on human connection.

Behavior & Notes
Lucky is easy to handle and very people-oriented. He enjoys attention and wants to be involved with his humans. At around 50 lbs, he’s a solid bundle of love who just wants to be close to his people. With continued structure and consistency, Lucky will continue to mature into an amazing companion.

Ideal Home
Lucky would do best in a home that enjoys an affectionate, engaged dog and can provide love, attention, and basic boundaries as he settles in. He’s ready to leave the shelter behind and finally experience what it means to be someone’s forever dog.
