Hi, I’m Loki. I was surrendered when my family could no longer afford to care for me, and now I’m looking for a new forever home. I’ve always lived indoors only and do well with other cats and people. I haven’t met children or dogs yet, so slow introductions would be best. I’m friendly, affectionate, playful, and independent. I have a very quiet meow and rarely use it, but my purr is loud—especially when I’m cuddling. I love sitting in laps, being picked up, belly rubs, and being close to my people (kitchen supervision included!). I enjoy playing with plastic springs and laser toys, and I’ve lived peacefully with another cat my age. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle cuddle bug with lots of love to give, I might be your Loki.

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
