My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Pawl and I’m a shy fella. I haven’t met very many humans before, so I will need my new person to be patient with me until I come out of my “shy shell”. I got used to my foster mama in just two weeks so it shouldn’t take me too long to warm up to you! I love to play with my stick toys and am VERY snuggly towards my foster mom once I've warmed up. She gives me lots of head scritches and pats, which I really enjoy and purr for!

The beginning of my life was outdoor as a stray until I was brought in by my foster and I have adjusted quite well to the indoor life! I love my daily wet food and treats. I have not been around dogs, children, or other cats while in foster but I think cat savvy children would be fine as they are gentle with me! I don’t show any aggression through my door that separates me from my foster's cats, so I may do fine with other felines as long as you do slow and proper introductions.

Pawl is estimated to be 2.5 years old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FeLV negative, FIV+. If you’re looking for a snuggle bug and a kitty who loves to play, please apply today to bring him home!!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
