Here's what the humans have to say about me:
💞 Mabel & Wendy – Two Sisters, One Forever Home 💞
This dynamic duo is not only the cutest pair but also the sweetest. These 6-month-old sisters were found as strays and have truly blossomed in foster care. Mabel might just throw herself straight into your lap when she sees you, and Wendy, though the shyer of the two, won’t be far behind. They are a beautifully balanced pair who rely on one another and need to stay together, destined to be best friends for life.
Mabel started off as the hissy one of the litter, standing at the front and not afraid to let you know what she thought. It took less than 24 hours in foster for a 12-year-old in the home to win her over with chin rubs, and soon Mabel was purring away. Before long, she was running to the door to greet her foster family, eager to be picked up and loved. Mabel also went through two hernia repairs, and with each vet visit she became friendlier and more confident, so much so that the entire clinic fell in love with her. Now healed and back to her playful, happy self, she’s ready to find a forever home with her sister.
Wendy isn’t quite as bold as Mabel, but she makes up for it with her adorable quirks, like her sweet little cry, especially when she’s hungry, and her enthusiastic head butts that turn into full-body bumps because she’s so excited to be near you. Her silky fur is impossible to ignore, and her quiet beauty shines through. Wendy would do best with someone who understands her initial shyness and is willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and confident. Watching Mabel has already helped her come a long way, and staying together will continue to support Wendy’s growth.
It’s hard not to fall in love with these two. From their sweet faces to their wonderful personalities, Mabel and Wendy bring out the best in each other and in everyone they meet. They’re hoping to find a loving home that will let them continue to grow, build confidence, and be cherished just as they are.
As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Mabel & Wendy, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Mabel & Wendy.
