Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moonie is a sweet senior looking for a new beginning. This lovable boy is friendly with people of all ages and has done well with kids, cats, and other dogs. He has spent his entire life living in a pack of four dogs and has great social skills.
Like many playful boys, there have occasionally been minor scuffles during rough play, but there has never been any resource guarding or concerning behavior. Moonie has even lived with a cat and happily ignored her.
He is trained , knows his basic commands, and truly loves going for walks—they’re one of his favorite parts of the day. Moonie would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a well-mannered, easygoing senior with lots of love still to give.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.
Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on `Foster Questionnaire.`
Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We`ll see you soon at either location!
