Gwen, affectionately known as Gwennie to her foster mom, is the definition of a gentle soul discovering the good life. After spending her past mostly outside, Gwen is now learning how wonderful dog beds, cozy blankets, and couch snuggles can be… and let’s just say she’s a big fan.
This sweet girl is incredibly calm, easygoing, and eager to please. She’s 100% potty trained and has impeccable house manners. Most of the time, Gwen is perfectly content lounging nearby, but every once in a while (especially when there’s snow involved) she’ll surprise you with a quick burst of hilarious zoomies before promptly wearing herself out and returning to her relaxed self.
Gwen adores people and truly shines with her humans. She prefers human companionship over dogs but gets along beautifully with her foster brother dog and would benefit from having a confident canine sibling to help her continue building confidence. She could also thrive in a home committed to gentle socialization and helping her explore the world at her own pace.
She has a few endearing quirks that make her extra special-like carrying her beloved red shrimp toy everywhere she goes, strategically hiding her bones around the house for safekeeping until she decides it’s time to enjoy them, and rolling over for belly rubs at any given moment. If you want to melt your heart instantly, just watch her do her little happy dance (see video ) whenever she spots her foster mom and can’t get to her right away.
Gwen is a loving, loyal, low-key companion who is ready for a forever home where she can continue to feel safe, cherished, and adored. She has so much love to give and she’s just waiting for the right family to give it to.
Gwen is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
