My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Searching for your soul dog? Look no further!

Meet Soucie This 3 year old 57 lb girl just entered foster care with Every Last One Rescue and she’s already showing us her cutest smile and the most expressive ears you’ve ever seen!

Miss Soucie is ~3 years old and is the happiest and smiliest girl you’ve ever met.

Soucie hasn't been in our care long but what we do know about her, we love and so will you.

Soucie is getting to know commands, she has mastered “sit” and understands “no,” and she’s so smart she’ll have the rest down in no time!

Soucie is gentle on a leash, though she’s still getting used to walking. She’s almost always by your side, until she’s decided she’s ready to turn around and lead the way home!  Soucie is not bothered by other dogs or kids on the street, she’s a very polite girl who loves to mind her own business. When a dog tries to get her attention because she’s just too cute they can’t help it,, she’ll pause for a moment but is easily redirected by the sound of her foster mom’s voice.

She is also a master of the crate. She sees it as her safe space and gladly goes in when you have to head out. She'll also sleep right through the night in it without a peep! She is seemingly housetrained, only pottying outside since going into foster care!

Soucie absolutely loves getting pets and physical touch! If you are looking for a weighted blanket, she will gladly lay right on top of you, offering endless kisses in exchange for belly rubs. And if that’s not your thing, she’s still your girl! She’ll cuddle up next to you on the couch, just happy to be near her person.
Soucie still has puppy energy, despite her tough start in life, and sometimes gets carried away with some playful puppy nipping. But, if you give her a chew toy, she’ll happily gnaw on that and leave you be. She also responds immediately to a clear “no”.

This sweet, loving, playful girl wasn’t given the start she deserved, after being found and dropped off at the shelter by a police officer, but that hasn't broken her spirit. Initially being reserved, nervous, and unsure at the local ACC, Soucie wasted no time once in her foster home to show that she loves to cuddle, play, and be silly. She just needed to be shown the love she deserves to bring out her true self! It wasn’t even 24 hours before Soucie shed her defeated shelter demeanor and embraced her foster with grateful kisses while simultaneously asking for belly rubs! She’s learning of all the amazing things life has to offer, like pup cups and unlimited lamb chop stuffies, and it shows with each day.

Soucie is currently being treated for some ongoing skin struggles, but is already showing great progress after just a few days of being treated!. Her current skin needs don't affect her quality of life at all. This girl is ready to spend forever with her person, and she can’t wait to meet you!!
