Meet Jag!
Sweet and cuddly real-life teddy bear, Jag, reporting for duty!
Jaguar/Jag/Jaggy is the perfect mix of "no idea what personal space is" and "65lbs IS in fact, lap-dog size. In order, Jag's favorite things are: cuddling, pets, playing tug, more cuddles, licking your face while you pet him, snuggling, playing, snuggly AND being pet, and playing fetch.
At 4 years old and 65lbs, Jag makes the perfect companion. Once he settles in, he is easy-going and eager to please. Jag has mastered house breaking and crate training, and has a generally relaxed disposition in the home! He is comfortable in his crate while you're at work, and when you're home, he's good for a game of tug and then a long recovery snooze on the couch (complete with piggy snores!) When you are home, Jaggy prefers to be in the same room as you (or, best-case scenario... on top of you). On walks, he shows off his floppy ears with a bouncy stride! He prefers a brisk pace, but even so, he is a good walker.
Before foster, Jag's history is a mystery; however, he has been absolutely flourishing in foster care. Jag is proud to say he has learned "sit", "down", and "touch", and is working diligently on "wait", "come", and our favorite, "give hug!". With slow introductions, he is happily living with a foster sister dog and a foster brother cat! We think that's pretty impressive and speaks to how sweet and gentle he is!
His foster's favorite things about Jaggy:
The way he gives hugs
How he bounces when he is excited about a toy
How gentle he is with his favorite stuffies
His teddy-bear face
The extra cuddles he sneaks in after you hit the snooze button in the morning
What Jaggy is currently working on:
Not barking at scary or unknown noises (though his fosters, of course, appreciate how considerate he is to make sure they heard it too!)
Not being scared of loud or unexpected noises (he is learning to sit and look at his foster for a treat when he hears a noise!)
Jaguar is looking for a family with a lot of love to give who appreciates a velcro dog and hope for a permanent lap warmer. His heart is as big as his head!
