My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BIRTHSTONE THEMED KITTEN:  Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 2.5 lbs. & growing

Hello – I’m Opal!  My kitty friends and I needed good homes, so a good citizen ensured that we made our way to Mostly Mutts.  I am now living in the Kitty Room at the shelter and am ready to meet my new family!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I get along great with the kittens I came to Mostly Mutts with – as well as my Kitty Aquarium roommates, so I may enjoy another kitty in my new home.  If you have a nice kitty at home who may enjoy a kitten friend, let’s meet! / Dogs unknown / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten.  Best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  Sweet, loving and ready for love – that is the best way to describe my kitty friends and me.  We are glad to no longer be living on our own and have adjusted well at the shelter.  Playful and fun – we are ready to be a great addition to your family!

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play with furry friends and toys alike.  Getting love and affection from my people is pretty awesome, as well. / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL:  I’m up-to-date on my kitten shots, microchipped and spayed.

I am looking for a home with a wonderful family who will love me furever!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

You may also call our phone line, 770-272-6888 or email adopt@mostlymutts.org with specific questions about any of our adoptable animals. We do require an interview, references and a contract. More about this rescue

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
