Meet Sunny D.!
Sunny D. is a big, handsome 8-year-old tom cat with an even bigger heart. He was originally trapped as part of a TNR project, but when he arrived at a local clinic to be neutered, everyone quickly realized this guy was way too friendly to go back outside. Sunny D. is a champion head-butter, a professional lap-lover, and an all-around people cat.

During his clinic visit, Sunny D. tested positive for FIV. Because of that—and because he clearly loves the indoor life—the team knew returning him to the outdoors wasn’t the best option. So they reached out to Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions, and now Sunny D. is here, ready to find his loving home.

What does FIV+ mean?
FIV simply means Sunny D.’s immune system needs a little extra care. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives—especially when kept indoors and given regular veterinary care. Even better, FIV+ cats can safely live with FIV-negative cats and coexist peacefully.

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
