My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Molly and Mason - the cutest spunky-monkey, 4-month-old brother-and-sister duo you ever will meet!

Molly has the most beautiful black coat with white marks peeking through sporadically, and the most stunning golden eyes filled with curiosity! Something about when Molly looks at you, it feels like she’s really seeing you and it makes you feel so special!

This beautiful girl is filled with all things kitten: she’s cute and sweet and believes it is her role to supervise all things you do. (We could all use a little help from a kitten this adorable, right!?)

Her favorite thing in the world is being told how beautiful she is; this affectionate girl will shove her face into your hands for pets or meow to make sure you’ve seen so she can receive her daily compliments!!

Mason embodies the word goofball in its purest form. He has a noisy purr and a resilient nature! Wait til you see the tiny white tip on his tail, trailing or circling behind him like his own little radar system! This sweet boy has a mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia, which you may recognize from cute online videos of other slightly “wobbly cats.” He was born with his cerebellum not quite fully formed, which affects his balance and coordination a bit. But he is not in pain and lives normally; he just isn’t quiiiite as fast as the others!

Mason does not require many accommodations, with the exceptions of some stairs or toys that are “in-betweens” to help him get from one level to another. With these in place he does fabulous in living his best life! When this guy isn’t chasing his siblings or running laps (make sure to tell him how fast he is! Encouragement is important!), then he’s zonked out or hoping for some delicious snacks to satisfy his gourmet palate.

Molly and Mason are friendly; they both take just a bit of time to get comfortable with new people. They are basically tolerant of cat-savvy dogs or cats, but Molly is a bit more ambivalent about other animal friends, and would likely prefer that it be just her and her brother!

Molly and Mason will have their furever people laughing and smiling every single day, and mostly just want to absorb all the love and playtime that comes with a person/family of their own!

You can find more videos and insight into them on their foster’s dedicated social media pages: Instagram: @kittyfosterroxanne or Facebook: Kitty Foster Roxanne MN.

This dynamic duo can’t wait to bring the sunshine to your home this winter!

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Additional adoption info

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

More about this rescue

Our Mission
Pet Haven improves the lives of pets and the people who love them by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats; reducing pet overpopulation by supporting spay and neuter efforts, and providing resources to people that help strengthen the human-animal bond.

Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.

Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer

How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.

Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.

Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.

We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.

We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
