Ebony #19558: solid black, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 9/25/24
Cats: best with a buddy Dogs: fine with calm ones Children: cat-savvy 12+
BACKGROUND: Ebony was rescued from an overcrowding situation in San Jacinto by a local rescuer who is working to spay/neuter the large numbers of cats and get the adoptable ones out so they can find loving homes. When The Rescue House had an opportunity to help, Ebony was among those who transferred to our care. He had some GI imbalances that took some time to settle; he has a probiotic added to his food once a day that keeps his system happy.
PERSONALITY: Ebony is a fun and frisky love bug! He likes to lie on your lap or your chest, though he best likes it when he can put himself there rather than be picked up. He has the seemingly endless energy of a toddler and is very playful… he’s been known to videobomb Zoom calls as he bounces through and he loves wand toys and strings to catch. He can get a little overenthusiastic when he’s in play mode and may grab at hands or feet, so toys that keep your body parts out of the equation are recommended. Ebony likes having opportunities to climb upward, and tall cat trees and furniture or shelves that let him hang out in a high spot are awesome (cat shelving, anyone?). When the play is done (for now) and Ebony is feeling mellow, this cuddlebug will join you for quality bonding time… though you’ll need to forget about bathroom privacy and he’ll need his own spot on your desk, he’s a loving and sweet companion kitty.
COMPATIBILITY: Ebony likes mellow friendly cats after a proper introduction (he fostered with Tao and they did well together) and really likes to have a lot of company. He’d be best with a feline buddy and if solo then he’ll want his human around a lot. He is all right with calm, cat-friendly dogs. Respectful children approaching their teens who are not rowdy or overly handsy would likely be fine. An overly loud or active household would not be his jam.
Ebony is awesome! Will this happy-go-lucky fellow bring his sweet charm to your life?
