And you’re not sure how to find the right little guy to grow into your family and with your family. The Sundance Kid is probably the guy you are looking for! Why do we say that with such confidence? Because he’s everything great about a puppy, who will grow up to be everything great about a dog.
He is 5 months old, so he’s still a baby, but he’s old enough to already show us what a love and what a happy-go-lucky boy he’ll be. We think he’ll be around 50 pounds at some point.
One thing that will never change about The Sundance Kid is his precious brown eyes. You will have days that you’ll want to drown in those eyes; they’re so perfect. And fair warning: Those eyes might make you say yes to all kinds of things that you hadn’t planned to. It’ll be so worth it, though!
What will you need to do to make The Sundance Kid your best guy? Well, get ready for your assignments: play with him and cuddle him. Yep, really, that’s all he needs. Playing is fun and easy with a pup like him: He loves all the toys, especially soft toys and tug toys, and he gets so happy when it’s playtime. If you weren’t already smiling when you got the toy out for him, you definitely will be by the time you’re on to what’s next.
As a puppy, there’s a good chance that he’ll be ready for a nap next. Scoop him into your arms, settle in to a comfy spot, and Sundance will snooze contentedly. Everybody wins. He loves to hang by your side or on your lap while you work or watch TV.
The Sundance Kid is well on his way to house training – he’s more house trained than not – and he is crate trained. He sleeps zzzz through the night in his crate like the good boy he is. He is smart and will be easy to train with any and all commands/tricks you want to teach him.
He’ll come to you neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $275. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.
What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.
