My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Family of Kittens
Elsie, Edith, Elodie, and Edward are a charming family group of kittens currently residing at the shelter. Each one brings their own unique personality to the group, and together, they embrace life with boundless enthusiasm. Their playful spirit shines through in all their antics, making them a delight to watch and interact with.
As a lively bunch, these kittens are always ready to explore, play, and discover new things. Their rambunctious nature is exactly what one would expect from a group of young kittens, ensuring that every day spent with them is filled with fun and laughter.
Among the siblings, Elsie stands out for her progress toward being fully litter box trained. Her development is a testament to her adaptability and eagerness to learn, making her an excellent candidate for adoption.
If you are thinking about welcoming a new feline companion into your home, consider adopting Elsie along with one of her siblings. Together, they will bring joy, companionship, and endless entertainment to your household.

More about this shelter

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
