Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 7 years old
Weight: 29 pounds
Dog friendly: Yes
Cat friendly: Unknown
Kid friendly: Yes
Potty trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
*Needs securely fenced yard with another confident dog in home*
Rootbeer is a soft, sensitive boy who has made steady progress in his foster home. He came in very fearful, but with time and patience he’s begun to show his sweet personality.
He is fully potty trained, quiet, and settles well in his crate. He gets along wonderfully with the resident female dog and gains confidence by following another dog’s lead.
Rootbeer has mastered going up stairs and is still learning to go down. He’s also working on coming when called and is more comfortable following another dog inside than being approached directly. He knows “sit” and takes treats gently. Leash walking is still new to him and will require continued positive, patient support.
Rootbeer will do best in a calm home with a securely fenced yard and a friendly resident dog. He’s a gentle soul who blossoms with routine and kindness, and he’ll be a deeply rewarding companion for someone who appreciates helping a shy dog gain confidence.
