Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rhianna!
Rhianna is a gorgeous 6 year old female orange cat looking for a cozy home with all the cat comforts an older gal like her can get: plenty of comfy spots to lounge, tasty treats, and a gentle human friend to give her the affection she seeks. Mellow and sweet, this girl loves lounging about and receiving gentle pets on her head. She does not like being picked up but will happily snuggle in her human`s lap for love on her terms.
We do not know if Rhianna has lived with other cats previously. While we believe she shows potential to co-exist in a multi-cat household, we highly recommend a slow introduction between Rhianna and any feline friends living in her forever home. A slow intro will help ensure that both Rhianna and her new cat companions feel safe and comfortable adjusting to each other`s presence.
Looking for a sweet orange lady to spend cold winter days snuggled up enjoying each other`s presence? Stop by the Humane Society of Summit County today and meet Rhianna!

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.
We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.
Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter
Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
