Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My Foster`s Ideal Home Would Have (a few words or one sentence): A friend to help her become comfortable and patience
Good with cats?: Yes, but takes time
Good with dogs?: Unknown
Good with children?: Yes, but only older/quiet
Would this kitty enjoy an animal companion?: Yes
Temperament: Independent
Ideal type of household?: Low activity, Medium activity
How long will it take kitty to settle into a new environment?: A few weeks
Foster cat`s bio for their adoption profile: This sweet tortie girl is ready for her forever home!! Dawn came to SCAT the way many of our cats do - an amazing caretaker who kept her safe until we had the space. Dawn is on the shy side, but absolutely loves pets (especially on her cheeks). Although she may come across timid to start, once she settles in, the love and stories start! She announces her presence as she enters into rooms (making sure you know she`s coming with her cute little meows), the first to greet you in the morning and remind you about breakfast, and even just letting you know she`s nearby. Be warned, the more comfortable Dawn gets, the more chatty she becomes - so many stories to tell!! The more relaxed Dawn gets, the more playful she becomes! Catnip balls and wand toys seem to be the bomb so far!
Dawn gets along quite well with the other fosters and residents (who tend to be a bit bossy), but never an issue as she is on the submissive side. She is untested with dogs and children, but slow introductions are best as she does get nervous to start. If you are willing to be patient with her for a little bit, this girl may be the one for you!

More about this rescue
Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
