The spay appointment is included in the adoption fee at one of the clinics we use and the foster-to-adopt family will need to email GRR to request the appointment when puppy is 18-20 weeks at the clinic closest to them. (Options are Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Georgetown.) Keeping the appointment that’s assigned by the clinic will be a condition of adoption. Foster to adopt families must live within one hour of DE and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment.
Housebroken: In progress/doing well. Will whine and pace when she has to go.
Crate trained: Yes. Sleeps up to 6 hours overnight. Will nap in there during the day.
Good on a leash: Yes. Curious and loves to walk. Working on not pulling. Will go potty while leash walking.
Car Rides: Good in the car. She is secured with her leash/ harness.
Energy level: Puppy level! She's ready to go.
Need a fenced in yard: No, she loves to walk on the leash. She'd love a fenced yard too!
Dog Friendly: Yes!
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? She doesn't need one, but she'd love it. She loves to play with my resident dog - who is much larger than her.
Cat Friendly: Yes. No aggression, just wants to sniff and play. I have 2 dog savvy cats, and she's been fine.
Kid Friendly: Yes.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Jovie is a very friendly, fearless puppy. She loves everyone she meets and showers them with kisses. She is very curious. She's learned "sit" and "come". She is progressing with potty training. She loves food and treats!
