Missed Connection at the Couch: Me, You, and an Empty Lap
You: Human with a heart as big as your couch and room in your life for a sassy, short queen with a serious love for snacks, snuggles, and strolls.
Me: 3.5-year-old pit bull mix with a confident strut, a velvet coat, and the kind of gaze that could melt a glacier. They call me Smurf, and no, I’m not blue, but I am magical. I’m the girl who’ll watch Netflix draped across your lap, stare lovingly into your soul like it’s my job, and greet you like you’ve returned from war every single time you walk through the door.
We may have passed each other once at the park or on the street, me charming passers-by with my squishy grin and you wondering how a dog this perfect hasn’t been scooped up yet. It’s okay. Timing is everything.
I’ve been told I’m polite, potty trained, and the queen of chill when home alone. I love a walk, a chew toy, and a lap to claim as my throne. I get excited to meet new people, and yes, I may need a moment to collect myself before I smother them with affection. I get along with dogs, though I’m really more about my people. Cats? I’ve seen ‘em. Not impressed. Squirrels? Meh.
Let’s not play games. You want a loyal companion. I want a forever throne. Let’s make it official.

Smurf is estimated to have been born in June 2022 and weighs 42lbs. She is a pit bull type dog who has a big, loveable personality in a small body. She is easily overstimulated in busy environments and is looking for a home in a quiet neighborhood without a lot of street activity or noise.
Smurf’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.
