My story

Hi! My name is Morticia. I can be a little shy at first but once we are friends I have a loud and frequent purr! I love when people pet, scratch and brush my silky soft fur. I especially love a good lap to settle into & will nearly burrow myself into your armpit to get as close as possible. I love the teaser toy and will play with that for hours. Wet food is sure to make you my fast friend. My brother, Gomez, & I were returned to CAWS when our mom had to enter memory care. We were very close as kittens but as we gotten older we've become more independent. We think it would be wonderful to be able to be adopted together but if you only have room for a single cat, please still take a look at us. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
