Say hello to Athena!

Miss Athena is a very new face at FDHS and recently arrived with her brother after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Athena is a sweet girl with an old soul. She’s intelligent, well-mannered, and has a calmer personality.

Shelter life is still a lot for her right now, so she’s taking her time decompressing and adjusting to all the changes. From what we’ve been told, Athena is expected to make a wonderful family dog and gets along well with everyone, both furry and non-furry. She walks nicely on leash and keeps her kennel clean throughout the day.

We’ll be updating Athena’s bio as we continue getting to know this lovely girl and watching her confidence bloom.

Once an application is filled out for animal of interest, the adoption coordinator and director will review app.
*Vet reference- will call vet and verify you are a client
*Current pets- must be up to date on vaccinations
*If renting- will contact landlord to verify can have pets
Can take 1-3 days for approval or denial. Please be patient with us.
Animals are not first come, first serve. We work to find the best homes possible for not only the adopters, but our animals.
