Pepper came into rescue with Pablo thru one of out regular fosters. She had taken them out of a bad situation and then asked us to place them. Pepper is a playful, fun boy who seems to love everyone. Pepper reminds me of a frat boy who just always wants to have a good time and who has boundless energy to pursue all of that fun. Pepper gets along great with other dogs and should do fine with cats, although he might aggravate them with his playful disposition. He will do fine with kids and would probably enjoy the interactions he could have with them. Pepper is crate trained and does well in the crate. We are sure that he would prefer to be out and about with you though. Pepper is a fun boy with a bubbly, happy, energetic personality and the perfect size for traveling and/or taking him with you on your adventures. Pepper will make a wonderful companion!
Pepper saw the vet on 1/13/26 and was found to have no issues. He has been started on Simparica Trio for flea control and heartworm prevention with us and had a negative heartworm test. He did test negative for intestinal parasites, however tapes were observed in his stool so we dewormed him with Drontal. Pepper weighed 14.92 pounds as of 1/13/26. He is fully vetted now and ready to find his forever family.
If interested in giving Pepper his forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Pepper's adoption fee will be $300 to help cover the cost of his vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Pepper based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for him, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.

More about this rescue
We are a small rescue started in September 2004. To date, we have adopted out over 1,000 dogs and cats who may not have had a second chance. We rescue the majority of our pets from kill shelters and have them thoroughly vetted prior to going to their new homes. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm checked(dogs) and dewormed. We also microchip our dogs so that they can always find their way home. Big and small, we work to rehome them all. We are always in need of donations so if you can help us to help our pets, please contact us! The more people who get involved, the more pets that we can save! We look forward to hearing from you and making that "forever match"!
