Meet Zo (#32676) 💕

Zo is a beautiful, gentle girl who came to our shelter due to her previous owner no longer being able to afford her care. Through no fault of her own, Zo is now looking for a loving family where she can feel safe, secure, and cherished.

Her previous owner shared that Zo loves cozy dog beds and toys, knows her basic commands, and walks nicely on leash—especially when using a harness. She enjoys digging, loves the water and swimming, and does great for baths. Zo also truly enjoys being brushed and pampered.

Here at the shelter, our staff have noticed that Zo is a very sweet girl who is still a bit unsure in the shelter environment. She can be a little shaky and nervous at first, but it’s easy to see what a good girl she is. She’s gentle, responsive on leash, and absolutely loves affection and attention once she starts to feel comfortable.

Zo would make a wonderful, loving family dog for someone willing to give her a little time to settle in and show her that she’s safe. With patience, love, and a calm home, this sweet girl is sure to blossom into an amazing companion. 🐾💗

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
