My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes, dog-savvy children
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes

Finch Songbird is an affectionate and snuggly girl. She’s a typical puppy who will romp and play when her friends are around, then settle in for quiet time. Finch is looking for a forever home where she can get lots of kisses and cuddles and grow into the amazing companion she’s sure to become.

Finch is submissive and friendly when meeting new dogs. She is outgoing and enjoys meeting new people. Finch has done well with the older kids she’s met, and would likely do great with kids of any age. She hasn’t met cats yet, but she would likely get along with dog-savvy cats thanks to her sweet and gentle personality. While she enjoys playing with her friends and snuggling with her people, this independent gal also loves to play by herself, often gathering all of her toys in a big pile that she can snuggle into.

Finch is crate trained and settles right in as long as she has her favorite toys with her. She is house trained, though she is still a puppy and may need a little time and patience as she adjusts to new situations. Finch has been working on her leash training and looks forward to continuing with her new family. She is a smart, eager girl who is sure to pick up new skills quickly.

Finch is the cutest cuddle bug. Apply to meet her today!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
