Meet Bear — Our Big, Wiggly Softie!
Bear is a 60lb Cane Corso mix with a heart as big as his paws. This handsome guy hasn’t had much exposure to people, but goodness… he wants to love so badly. You just have to move slow, get down on his level, and you’ll see his whole body wiggle with excitement.
He’s showing us every day that he’s ready to come out of his shell — he just isn’t quite sure how to play yet, but he’s trying so hard and it’s adorable to watch. Bear has done well with other dogs, and would need to go into a home other canine companions who can help build his confidence. He hasn’t met cats yet, we’re happy to test him for the right home!
If you’re looking for a gentle, eager-to-love companion who just needs someone patient to show him the world, Bear might be your guy.

LPHS strives to provide a hassle free adoption process that provides every adopter and potential pet with the best experience possible. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please submit a complete Adoption Application as soon as possible. Your application must include 2-3 references, and your veterinarians contact information. Once received, your application will be processed, references will be checked, and a home visit (excluding cats) will be scheduled at your earliest convenience.
Please note: The adoption process consists of three steps:
1. Complete Adoption Application Submitted
2. References Checked
3. Successful Home Visit completed (excluding cats)
The adoption process takes 24-72 hours to complete. Applications continue to be accepted, and an animal remains “available” until an adoption is finalized. Animals are placed after all 3 steps are successfully completed.
It is our policy to spay or neuter any dog that is old enough for our vets to alter.
Dog adoption fees are $125 for puppies (under 1), $100 for adults, and $30 for Senior dogs (8+). Dogs come microchipped, vaccinated, and altered.
It is our policy to spay or neuter any cat that is old enough for our vets to alter.
Cat adoption fees are$75 for kittens (under 1), $60 for adults, and $15 for Senior cats (11+). All of our cats are required to be indoor cats, unless otherwise specified.
