My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: Successfully treated for heartworms ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: Heart Throb Alert! Meet Asher, the calm and quiet sweetheart who's ready to find his forever home! This lovable guy may be a bit shy at first, but once he knows you’re his person, he transforms into the sweetest love bug. He adores snuggling up close, and he especially loves it when you're willing to share your pillow. You might find him dozing off in your lap or nestled in your arms, embodying the true king of leisure!

Asher enjoys the occasional play session when he's feeling frisky, but he is also sensitive to certain things like thunder, squeaky toys, and loud noises. He is initially head shy until he builds trust, so gentle patience is key.

In his current foster home, Asher gets along great with his doggy sisters. He’s a bit cautious and shy around strangers, but he perks up during mealtimes, revealing his food-motivated side.

Asher will thrive in a calm, quiet household with one or two adults. While he could be fine as an only dog, he does not like being left alone for long periods. He enjoys the company of other dogs and appreciates having his own space.

Traveling in the car is no problem for Asher! He’s curious and has a playful habit of nibbling on things like paper bags and post-it notes, so keeping an eye on him is a must.

As for his potty habits, Asher is doing well with outdoor potty training and also uses pee pads indoors. While he may occasionally scratch or relocate the pads, he wears a belly band without any issues.

If you're looking for a gentle companion who will fill your heart with love and joy, Asher is your guy! Come meet him today and see if you can be the one to give him the forever home he deserves. --

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
