Valen is a 4-year-old Collie mix weighing in at 34.8 pounds, and he’s as sweet as he is charming. This sensitive boy can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his friendly and affectionate personality shines through. Watching him warm up is truly rewarding.
Valen is making great progress with house-training and is nearly there. He does well in his crate and settles nicely, though he may need a little encouragement at first. He is eager to keep learning.
He gets along well with both dogs and cats and would likely thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help boost his confidence. Valen hasn’t yet been around children, so a calm, understanding home would be ideal as he continues to grow more comfortable in new situations.
One of Valen’s favorite things is spending time outdoors. He loves exploring the yard, following interesting scents, and showing off his absolutely adorable little prance around the house. A securely fenced yard would be a big plus for this curious guy.
Valen is looking for a patient, loving home that will give him the time and reassurance he needs to fully blossom. In return, he’ll offer gentle companionship and plenty of heart.
His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
