She’s very people-oriented and loves being near her humans, often chatting away in true husky fashion—she’s quite the conversationalist. Mia isn’t really interested in toys; she’d much rather enjoy your company or explore her surroundings. She’s impressively athletic (she can clear a 6-foot fence!), so she’ll thrive with secure outdoor space and an active lifestyle. While walking through the kennels, Mia shows little concern for other dogs and seems content minding her own business. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
