Hershey Kiss 1 spent some time in a foster home during the snowstorm, and she showed everyone just how perfectly she fits into home life. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle companion who loves to be close, Hershey Kiss 1 might be your girl.
Hershey Kiss 1’s favorite activities are sleeping, cuddling, and being near her people. She’s not very interested in toys or playing just yet, but she loves belly rubs and will happily accept them whenever they’re offered. She’s also learning to sit on command—especially when there’s a treat involved!
On a typical day, Hershey Kiss 1’s energy level is about a 2 out of 10. She’s a very low-energy, sleepy girl who prefers comfy spots and soft bedding. In her foster home, she proudly claimed a child’s little couch as her own and spent much of her time relaxing there. As she continues to gain weight and strength, her energy may increase slightly, but she’s very much a “cozy companion” kind of dog.
Hershey Kiss 1 is very underweight, but she’s a great eater. She’s currently on small, frequent meals of both wet and dry food to help her gain weight, and this is expected to be a short-term situation. She doesn’t take any medications, but she does love to stay warm—blankets and sweaters are a must for this girl.
In the home, Hershey Kiss 1 is calm and easygoing. One of her foster’s favorite moments was bath time—Hershey Kiss 1 was relaxed, accepting, and incredibly easy to handle. She hasn’t barked at all, though she may softly whine if her person walks away. She truly enjoys being a constant companion and will happily follow her person around the house.
Hershey Kiss 1 is still working on housetraining. She will potty outside when taken out but doesn’t yet ask to go, so she currently goes out every two hours to prevent accidents. She walks nicely on a leash and may pull a bit when she’s ready to head back to the warm house, but she’s easily corrected.
Socially, Hershey Kiss 1 has been very polite and tolerant. She showed mild interest in other dogs during a trip to Petco but was easily redirected. In her foster home, she was exposed to a cat through a glass door and didn’t seem bothered at all, so she may do well with cats with proper acclimation. She was also wonderful with a young child—gentle, tolerant, and unfazed by noise or excitement.
Hershey Kiss 1 would do best in a home where her person is around often and looking for a lap dog, shadow, and snuggle buddy. She’ll happil
