Tin Man may look a little rusted at first, but with patience and kindness, this boy is going to shine.
With striking blue eyes and a look that sets him apart from his brothers, Tin Man is a chihuahua mix with hints of something herdy in his background. He’s currently very shy and still adjusting to all the new sights and sounds of shelter life.
The good news? With quiet time and gentle reassurance from staff, Tin Man has already started to open up. Once he trusts you, he’s going to be incredibly loyal and loving, the kind of dog who sticks close once you’re “his person.”
Tin Man needs a calm home and an adopter willing to move at his pace. Give him time, and you’ll see there’s a whole lot of love under that shiny exterior.
We were told that he and his brothers are housetrained, but are used to going in and out as they please with a doggy door to a fenced in backyard. They will need leash training and housetraining in their new home.
His adoption fee is $200 and this includes his neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, monthly preventions, and a microchip that we register for you. To apply visit EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org
