PLEASE DO NOT ASK ABOUT AVAILABILITY OR EMAIL THROUGH PETFINDER or ADOPT-A-PET - WE CANNOT RESPOND - READ THE PROCESS BELOW.
If you're interested in any of our wonderful dogs, you must FIRST fill out an Adoption Application at our website listed below. Once we receive it, we'll forward it to the foster family for follow up. We are 100% foster based, so we don't have a facility. Review the process FAQ at our website.

Special consideration may be granted for dogs with medical needs or bonded pairs.
Karlie – Yellow Female, 4 years, 80 lbs.
Looking for a practically perfect girl? Meet Karlie.
She’s your classic Labrador through and through—sweet, food-motivated, loves her people, gets along great with other dogs, and wants nothing more than to be right by your side. She even has that legendary Lab otter tail, which can clear a low table in record time.
Karlie is happily past the destructive puppy stage. She’s calm and well-mannered in the house, crate trained, but doesn’t actually need a crate—she sleeps quietly on her bed all night. She enjoys going for walks and does well on leash, taking her time to soak in all the scents along the way (sniffing is serious business for her!). While she’s not much of a fetcher, she’s perfectly content watching you throw the ball and cheering you on.
Karlie loves car rides, beach trips, and romping in the sand. She could stand to lose a couple of pounds to reach her ideal weight, but she’s otherwise a happy, healthy, easygoing girl who fits right into home life. Karlie enjoys the companionship of other dogs and gets along well with them. That said, if someone is home more often than not, she would also be perfectly content as an only dog. There are no cats in her current foster home, so her behavior with felines is unknown.
When Karlie came into rescue, she had entropion, a condition where the eyelashes roll inward and can cause pain and vision loss if left untreated. Lab Rescue had corrective surgery performed on both eyes, and she has healed beautifully.
If you’d like to meet this happy-go-lucky gal and see if she’s your perfect match, please fill out an adoption application at www.labrescuefresno.org
