My Journey I’m a community/colony cat who is now getting a chance at indoor life. I’ve been staying in a quiet condo setup at my foster home, so I’m still learning what it means to fully relax and trust in a home environment.
My Social Life Other cats? I haven’t had much interaction with other cats yet, so my preferences are still being discovered. Dogs? I haven’t met dogs. Kids? I would likely do best with calm, patient, cat-savvy humans who understand giving space and time. My social circle, summed up: I’m on the reserved side, but I appreciate gentle company and do best when I’m allowed to warm up at my own pace.
My Personality I’m a sweet but cautious girl who takes a little time to feel comfortable. Once I do, my gentle nature begins to show. Because I’ve had limited interaction so far, my foster is still learning all my quirks—but I’ve shown that I’m calm, observant, and quietly affectionate in my own way.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
