My Journey I was found as a stray in Tijuana along with my siblings and was lucky enough to be brought indoors by a kind rescuer. Since then, I’ve been learning what it means to be safe, comfortable, and cared for — and I’m doing great with this new indoor life.
My Social Life Other cats ? I’m curious about other cats, though I’ve mostly lived with my three siblings so far. I’ve tried to say hello to my foster’s resident cats, but they weren’t very interested — no hard feelings! I really enjoy having feline company and would do best with a cat companion. Kids ? I haven’t met any mini humans yet, but I’d likely do well with calm, gentle kids who understand how to move slowly and respectfully around a cat like me. Dogs ? I haven`t met any canine friend yet.
My Personality Gentle and soft-hearted Sweet little chirp-meow when I want attention Sensitive and thoughtful in new situations I’m generally very gentle, but in brand-new or scary environments I might give a small hiss at first — it’s just my way of saying I need a moment to feel safe.
I Enjoy… Lounging in hammocks or cozy resting spots Toys with bells and crinkly noises Relaxing in comfort once I feel settled Give me a good lounging spot and some fun toys, and I’m a happy kitty.
I’m Not a Fan Of… Oral medication (but honestly… who is?)
What Makes Me Special I have the perfect amount of fluff — especially on my tail and around my chest — plus a beautiful blue coat and striking green eyes. I’m pretty proud of my look, and I think you’ll be too.
My Perfect Home I’d thrive in a home with an interactive adopter and/or a playful feline friend who matches my energy. I can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but it doesn’t last long — once I warm up, I settle in nicely and enjoy being part of the action. If you’re looking for a gentle, expressive kitty who blossoms with companionship and patience, I might be your perfect match!

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
