Despite his impressive girth, Lasagna is a calm, easygoing guy who enjoys the finer things in life: soft surfaces, quiet companionship, and judging you silently from across the room. He’s affectionate on his terms and believes walking places is optional when being carried (or admired) is clearly more efficient.
Lasagna would love a home that appreciates a large-format cat and understands that weight loss is a journey… not a personality. He’s not here to sprint. He’s here to occupy space and make your home feel fuller in every sense.

Our adoption fees for dogs includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention, heart worm tested, and microchip registration.
Adult Dogs: $200
Puppies: $225
Cat adoption fees include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, FIV/FeLV testing, flea and tick prevention, and microchip registration.
Adult Cats: $75 (or $125 for a pair)
Kittens: $90 (or $150 for a pair)

Since 1979, the Effingham County Humane Society has been committed to serving Effingham County, IL and the surrounding area. We are located in the former Funkhouser School, and our non-profit shelter is sustained by volunteers, fundraising, contributions, and adoption fees.
