Meet Nova
Hi there! I’m Nova, a sweet little year-old with a striking mix of white and black fur. I might be petite, but my heart is full of love—and I’m ready to share it with someone special.
I’ve had a bit of a bumpy start in life, but I’m a resilient little star! I love to play, whether it’s chasing toys, pouncing on feathers, or just exploring new corners of the house. After a fun session of zoomies, I’ll happily curl up on your lap and purr myself to sleep. I’m affectionate, gentle, and love attention—once you get to know me, you’ll find I’m a total snuggle buddy.
I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe, loved, and part of the family. Someone who enjoys both playtime and quiet cuddle moments would be perfect. I promise to fill your days with a little bit of mischief, a lot of love, and plenty of purrs.
If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
