Meet Nugget
Hi there! I’m Nugget, a sweet grey-and-white girl with a soft heart and a curious spirit. I’m about a year old and was lucky enough to be rescued after being found abandoned—but don’t worry, I’ve bounced back and am ready to find my forever home.
I’m friendly and loving, though I can be a little shy at first. Give me a few quiet moments to adjust, and I’ll be happily exploring, purring, and rubbing up against your legs. I enjoy gentle play, lounging in sunny spots, and snuggling when I feel safe.
I’m looking for a calm, patient home where I can grow confident and share my affection. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal companion, I’ll be your perfect little nugget of love!

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
