My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Claire, and I’m on the hunt for my forever home. My journey started a little rough—I was picked up as a stray and brought to a very scary shelter. When my hold time was up and things looked uncertain, BCAA stepped in and said they would help me… and just like that, my future got brighter!

I’m a happy, fun-loving girl who truly enjoys people of all ages—I’m great with kids and love anyone who’s willing to give me some attention. I’m what you might call a “low-rider,” and the best guess is that I’m a corgi mix (maybe with a little husky sprinkled in!). Whatever my mix is, my foster mom says I’m a beautiful girl with striking blue eyes and a personality that screams “girls just want to have fun!”

I’m about a year old and just over 35 pounds, which is a perfect, manageable size—and I shouldn’t get much bigger. I’ve been doing great in my crate with no accidents.

I’m good on leash and absolutely love going for walks because it means adventure time! I’m sweet, playful, and full of love, and I’m ready to trade my past for a future filled with family, fun, and cuddles.

If you’re looking for a cheerful, kid-friendly, adventure-loving companion, I just might be your girl.

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
